What is a Care Home?

A Care Home offers an alternative home-like atmosphere, ensuring that a person will not die alone or be in pain. And be surrounded by compassion and love 24 hours a day!

It is an alternative place for care when remaining at home is no longer the best choice.

A Care Home is also available for respite care (to provide relief for the caregiver).

Hospice care in your own home care will continue to be the primary focus for those with life limiting illness. The Care Homes, however, will exist as an option to serving individuals with life limiting illness.

Legacies of Love Foundation will support 2 Care Homes. These homes will provide several options for care in the palliative or terminal phase of one's illness. Our homes can be used as respite or for crisis management during the course of terminal illness or a place to call home. Our homes are designed to give an out pouring of love and comfort to all who enter.

Mary's House and Ernie's Place will be our gift of love to this community.

Legacies of Love care homes are staffed by experience caregivers and nurses who devote their time and talents to the mission of excellence in end of life care.
