Legacies of Love Foundation

Legacies of Love Foundation, Inc.

To encourage, promote and focus compassion in end-of-life care

Our Vision

To help meet the need for excellence and compassion in end-of-life care in every community in Oregon.

Our Mission

Development of Legacies of Love Hospice;

To support the Care Homes and the surrounding rural areas of Klamath County;

Construction and support for 2 Care Homes
(Level III adult foster care homes, 5 residents per home)

Care Homes

We receive and distribute funds for the development and support of Care Homes.

These homes offer stability to the individual and their family by creating an atmosphere of safety, comfort, pain control, and most of all- to know they are loved.

Level III adult foster care homes can manage many of the problems that the terminally ill face, with the help of a hospice program that is involved with each patient's care.

Education

We bring a heightened level of awareness about these situations to families who are caring for someone in their end of life journey.  Consider having us speak at your next staff meeting.  We can assist your staff in coping and understanding of this very daunting subject we all avoid: the completion of our life's circle.

Support Services

"The 2nd Step Hiking and Adventure Club," a wellness program for grief recovery.  A unique approach to healing one's soul from the impact of grief.  If you are ready to try something new, come to our first meeting September 10th, 9am to 11am or 7pm to 9pm.

Our Promise

To maintain each individual's dignity and to enhance their quality of life.

To help each individual live their final weeks and days in comfortable and compassionate surroundings, with family able to stay with them day or night and to be part of the circle of care.

Fulfilling Our Vision

  • Legacies of Love Foundation was established in 2006 as a not for profit foundation organized under the IRS code 501(c)(3),  for the purpose of enhancing the vision for excellence in end-of-life care.
  • The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors representing our community with a diversity of experience and skills that oversee the disbursement of funds.  Our donations come from a variety of sources: personal, "in memory of" gifts, bequeathed estates or life insurances, fundraising projects, and grants.
  • How funds will be used:

Construction and support for Care Homes;
(2) Level III adult foster care homes (5 residents per home)

These homes are designed to "feel and look" like bed and breakfast type homes.

  • Education and Support Services
    Providing education and service outreach programs to our community on the many issues and needs that surround the circumstances of dying and support for families of the terminally ill.
